Updates
22 May 2020 - With the present COVID-19 pandemic, tourism and events all around the world have been put on hold. The health and well being of visitors is always a priority and will continue to be so.
As we all know, the tourism and heritage industries aren't the only areas that have been hit hard. Another area that has been forced to adapt is education. With so many schools being closed and many students continuing classes via the internet, I have been looking for ways to help, especially those students about to sit exams. With help from a teacher at Charleston Academy, Inverness, I have been creating short videos that Schools, Heritage sites and Organisations that I can post online for their visitors and students. These videos are short customised presentations designed to provide fun and interesting snippets of Scotland's past.
Over the coming weeks and months I will be continuing to create more videos in the hopes that they help. As in all areas of my company it is my aim to produce well researched, interesting and fun videos that are enjoyable for all ages.
If you are interested in having a video made to meet your schools or organisations needs please dont hesitate to contact me. I would be more than happy to discuss your specific needs and goals.
I am very much looking forward, when safe to do so,to returning to many schools and historic sites around Scotland. Until then.....Be Safe!
19 June 2020 - Many businesses are attempting to find new ways to function during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am no different! Trying to keep as active as possible, as well as sharing my love and passion for history with others, I regularly update my social accounts such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Recently I begun sharing the process of creating new historical clothing from scratch such as cutting and adjusting patterns and hand sewing the final garment. Its one part of my job that I love! I enjoy creating a completely historically accurate garment from beginning to end but nothing beats wearing that garment at a historical site during one of my performances.
I also began posting a daily series called Today in History. It my goal to try and post a few interesting events from history every day, occasionally creating a full post for an event that I find specifically interesting. Its a learning experience for me and I'd love for you to join me and comment on my posts.
Please click one of the links to my social sites and join me on the journey.
I look forward to continuing this journey with me!
